Yamaha R-series motorcycles are partly descended from Yamaha's MotoGP® and World Superbike racing bikes The all-new R125's all-new range and design are increasingly based on the R1 and R7 trim trim of the new R125. This greatly improves the attitude and feel of the R125's big Supersport bike. Its new look and R-Series heritage are accentuated by a powerful LED headlight in the middle of the front roof and two LED parking lights, as well as an M-shaped air intake.

Originally developed for racing, the Supersport geometry of the Deltabox chassis, the state-of-the-art, 41mm, KYB USD front fork and linkage-operated rear suspension allow for very agile handling. The dimensions of the footpegs-seat-handlebars triangle, which are essential for driving position and ergometry, allow for a sporty driving position and thus optimal driving control. The new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster displays essential driving data and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity ensures call and® message connectivity.

The new R125's EU5-approved four-stroke engine is equipped with variable valve actuation (VVA) technology for valve timing that boosts torsional power. For acceleration and braking, traction control is enhanced by the TCS traction control system and the A&S start assist and skid clutch. The equipment and finish of the new YZF-R125 match that of the large Yamaha R models and are available in Icon Blue and Tech Black.
